Amundi was created on 1st January 2010 following the combination of the asset management businesses of two powerful banking groups, Crédit Agricole and Société Générale. Amundi offers a comprehensive range of products covering all traditional, and many alternative, asset classes and designs innovative, high-performing investment solutions for its institutional clients, delivered through pooled funds or dedicated mandates tailored specifically to their requirements and risk profile.

With almost £600 billion1 in assets under management, Amundi ranks third in Europe2 and among the top ten global players in asset management3. Amundi London branch was established in mid-1998 and now manages more than £27 billion4. There are investment centres in Continental Europe and Asia.

Strict risk control
In addition to systematic controls, independent internal risk managers ensure full compliance with regulatory constraints and the risk limits defined by each investor. As at December 2010, Amundi and its affiliates managed investments totalling £650 million for six UK Local Authority Pension Fund clients.
