Public Sector Pension Funds We manage Global Equity and Sustainable mandates on behalf of a number of Local Authority Pension Funds. Sarasin – Leaders in Thematic Investing We recognised the need to develop a global equity solution that reflected the reality of two new drivers of world economic growth: Firstly, the globalisation of the world economy and its labour force, and secondly, the growth of internet-based communications. These new drivers required a means of selecting companies that operated across borders and industries, unlike the regional approach which had dominated global equity management for much of the eighties and early nineties. A thematic approach gave us this advantage. A differentiated approach from our competition
We launched our first Global Thematic Equity fund, the Sarasin CI EquiSar Sterling Global Thematic Fund, in August 1996. This gives us over 14 years running global equity funds with the same process. Our fund has outperformed the MSCI World Index in 12 out of 14 years (12 month intervals from launch). Our whole investment team is structured around global themes. Strategies available We invest across a broad range of assets classes for a wide variety of clients. These include:
